I think some people can easily take the name PuckDat and decide that it must be something associated with a vulgar explicative and that might be partially true.
But the truth is the expression is much more and for the most part it’s uniquely Canadian.
It represents us minding our manners even while acting in defiance to what we perceive as an injustice.
And let’s not mistake that, once we perceive an injustice, we want to fix it or at least help.
It’s the very nature of what we have been since the first settlers struggled against the cold winters and turned it into a magical time when they played while waiting for the warm days to return.
You can sit and mope or you can get it done.
Canadians get it done.
Again and again if you care to look back through my back catalogue of posts.
So PuckDat may seem vulgar, but it’s actually Canadians being polite.
And more over, it’s usually followed by one of us rolling up our sleeves to get the job done.
On the battlefield or in the sports arena, it’s never been a good idea to push us too far because in many respects you should fear the word when it is expressed as it is in fact our rallying cry.
Respectfully, for all the heroes who said just that when they knew the time had come to make a hard choice and made it, this space is for you.

I just sent this post to a bunch of my friends as I agree with most of what you’re saying here and the way you’ve presented it is awesome.
